God has given you lots and lots of
talents. He has given you the ability to work. He has given you sight and also
the ability to follow his word. But he has also given you freewill and you can
choose to use those talents for any reason. But when I read the passage above,
I see that I am commanded to not only follow Gods word but also give credit and
give thanks to Him.
I love this quote and I have used it so
much in my day to day life. “It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do
not care who gets the credit.” - Harry S. Truman. I have seen amazing things
happen when you give people credit. Now God doesn't need your approval, however
you should (out of respect) acknowledge Him in everything you do and receive.
So why?
1. One
it keeps you humble and in the mindset of who really made this happen. Too
often we forget that it’s Him that made this all possible, and not our own work.
2. The
more you do in his name, the more people see what He can do, and will be more likely to follow God when they see a Christian doing good works in God's name.
3. As
it says in Matthew 25:33 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful
servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of
many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” This shows that the more You do for God the more
he will give you to do in his name. And nothing makes me happier than to hear
from God, well done.
Lord thank you for the many blessings.
In all I do, I will give You credit, and I will acknowledge to the world that
it is You that has provided all this for me. Let my good works show all that You
not only exists but let it sway them to follow You. In Jesus name, Amen.
