Now is the time!

For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation - 2 Corinthians 6:2

I will be the first to tell you that I put some things off that I shouldn't  and my list would be incomplete if I am sure if you asked my wife or some of my friends. I get wrapped up and so totally focused doing things that others get neglected. When I set reminders on my phone, I usually set two, one for 5 minutes before I have to start the next task and one for when I should start working on it. That allows me to use the first alarm to wrap things up.

There is one thing that you should not procrastinate on and that is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. I have seen so many times when someone on their death bed has accepted Christ and the squeaked in by the skin of their teeth. What if they had not made it? What if they had died before making such an important decision? Ask any manager and they will tell you that when they work on a list of objectives, they take that list and PRIORITIZE it. They typically prioritize it with two factors in mind, importance and urgent. They then take those objectives and start working on them in order of priority.

If the bible tells you that now is the time, today is the day of your salvation, I would start thinking long and hard of where God wants you. Plus being a part of Gods plan and allowing Him to use you is an honor not a chore. And the first step is easy. If there is any question of what to do, start by reading the New Testament and the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), then find a friend who is Christian and ask them all sorts of questions. They will be ecstatic that you asked, trust me. If you have a question why just read, John 14:6

Lord I pray that You help me keep my priorities straight. I pray that whoever has read this who needs You, that You put people in their lives that will help them through the process. Lord I pray that if anyone reads this who knows someone that this might apply to, that they are brave and take that step of obedience and help them towards following You. Thank you for the wisdom contained in Your word. In Jesus name, Amen.

Remember: God offers salvation to ALL PEOPLE. Many people put off a decision for Christ, thinking that there will be a better time--but they could easily miss their opportunity altogether. Now is the time; the time to Come to Jesus!
